The thread is a very strong cotton. If you are the kind of reed-maker who pulls really tight, we recommend you use our nylon thread, which is a bit stronger. This thread is ideal for those who want to teach their students (or themselves) not to pull too tight.

Round sound, a lot of 'core' in the tone and fast response. Make sure you order the band to go with it! Bands differ depending on the instrument.
